In this area of the website, Geri shares some miscellaneous stories about her show business career.
- Geri remembers performing for a charity event when she had her band ....The Sand Dabs. This event was held in Beverly Hills. The stage was in front of the well known actor Glenn Ford's home. He could hear them performing from inside his home so he came out to the stage to listen. He commented on how good they were and really liked their music.
- Geri still has a gift given to her by Rip Taylor. At first glance, it seems rather unusual - a dime glued to a safety pin. But then when you think more, it becomes a "Dime-on-Pin" or Diamond Pin. You can almost hear Rip Taylor laughing right now.
- Geri was good friends with Mike Lookinland, and they loved to hang out together. One time while cruising in Mike's new car, they got lost in a bad part of Los Angeles. According to Geri, it was very dark and it was a little scary. There was really no way to ask for directions since all the gas stations were closed, and who knows what would happen if they were recognized. Geri locked her door, but Mike assured her they would find their way home. After finding a pay phone in the pitch black of night, Mike was able to make a phone call and get them out of there.
- As a young girl, Geri was not allowed to see her performance in the 1972 film "I Dismember Mamma" because of brief nudity and violent scenes. It was not until 28 years later that Geri saw it on video for the very first time!Susan Olsen and Geri knew each other as young children from numerous auditions, commercials, and television shows they both worked on. When Geri took over the role of Jan Brady, the two already knew each other.
- Once while performing in Sammy Davis Jr's night club act, Geri got the hiccups while she was singing. Geri started to panic, but Sammy thought it was really funny. He then told the story repeatedly to subsequent audiences, laughing all the way.
- When Geri first appeared as Dorothy in a series of "Wizard of Oz" theme commercials for the breakfast cereal Crispy Wheats-n-Raisins, she wore her hair long. But by age 22 she wasn't looking 13 anymore, so they put her hair in pig tails. During the shooting of one commercial, Geri worked with Jerry Maren, who appeared in the original 1939 Oz movie as a member of the "Lollypop Guild."
- Once while backstage to meet Liberace, Geri unexpectedly ran into...Barry Williams!
